Police Blotter: Homeless Encampment at the 16th Hole of the Sharp Park Golf Course, a Condom Thief and Multiple DUIs

A rundown of recent police activity and crime in Pacifica

Jan 21 - 4:09am: An attempted petty theft was reported at a store on the 100 block of Clarendon Road. The male suspect reportedly placed four condoms in his pocket and confronted the store manager when asked to pay for them. 9:47am: A dumping complaint was made that an unknown vehicle had discarded wood debris and hay bales at the water tower location on Fassler Avenue and Roberts Road.

Jan. 22 - 1:36am: A driver was cited with driving under the influence (DUI) at Linda Mar Boulevard and Solano Drive. 10:24am: A homeless encampment was reported at Sharp Park Golf Course. The tents were set up between the 16th hole and the embankment separating the course from the beach. 1:23pm: A resident was reportedly assaulted by a neighbor on the 200 block of Second Avenue. The victim alleged that she was pushed while looking for her cat.

Jan. 23 - 12:19am: A driver was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) at Hickey Boulevard and Skyline Drive. 1:45am: A driver was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) at Skyline Boulevard and King Drive. 10:04a.m. Vandalism was reported at the 4400 block of Cabrillo Highway. A bench had been spray painted with graffiti at the site. 2:50pm: A dumping complaint was reported in the residential area of Beaumont Boulevard where old kitchen cabinets had been left in the roadway and nearby driveways overnight.

Jan. 24 - 11:43am: An abandoned auto without plates was reported at the intersection of Anza and De Solo drives. 2:52pm: Protesters across from Oceana High School were reported to Pacifica Police for being a disturbance. The report had no merit however, as the group was demonstrating on public sidewalks. 4:06pm: An underage male was allegedly asking patrons of the 7-eleven convenience store on Clarendon to buy him alcohol.

Jan. 25 - 12:16am: A dead, dry Christmas tree was reportedly in the back alley behind Manor Plaza Safeway, a potential fire hazard. 3:13am: A reported assault occurred at a residence on the 300 block of Esplanade Avenue. The victim alleged that a woman he met at a bar earlier that evening had grown violent and began throwing items around the victim's apartment. 7:32am: A parked vehicle was allegedly vandalized on the 200 block of El Dorado Drive. The mirrors of the car were broken and the sides of the auto were scratched. 11:15pm: A driver was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) at Eureka Square.
