Anastasia Crosson
Anastasia Crosson is a freelance reporter for Burlingame Patch, Pacifica Patch and San Mateo Patch.
I am currently pursuing a B.S. in Journalism, with a minor in Political Science, at San Jose State University. I have worked with Yahoo Inc., Red Herring Inc., and a number of start-ups including, most recently, ecofabulous.com. These experiences have continued to nurture my knowledge of and passion for reporting, blogging and social media.  You can find me at the local farmers' market nearby the freshest seasonal fruit, learning more about the producers while graciously (or is it shamelessly?) helping myself to multiple samples. One of my most enjoyed pleasures is food and creating food, as evidenced by my blog: Can It You Nit! I have a passion for reporting, finding the angle and getting all the facts. The landscape of journalism is changing as rapidly as the next "it" pieces of communication technology are being developed. Real-time journalism is not a model of the future, but of the present. A "social" news source, like Patch, is getting ahead of this curve. I look forward to working with the niche that Patch will surely create for citizen journalism.
