Police Blotter: A Valentine's Day Sext, Humpty Dumpty Vandal, Convenient Urination and Exhibitionism

A rundown of recent police activity and crime in Pacifica

Feb. 14 - 1:33pm: A resident on the 300 block of Milagra Drive reported a suspicious male, unknown to the neighborhood, who was looking into backyards of homes in the area. 1:53pm: A Valentine's Day "Sext"--A concerned parent reported a lewd photo to Pacifica police. The caller's daughter had received a photo text on her cell phone of male genitalia. 8:21pm: A male subject was reported for being drunk in public after he was seen dragging another male and putting him up against the wall of on Terra Nova Boulevard. The male who had been dragged was transported to Seton Hospital.

Feb. 15 - 6:05pm: A vehicle parked in the lot of , on Oceana Boulevard, was burglarized by an unknown suspect. 11:17pm: Flooding was reported at the intersection of Clarendon Road and Lakeside Avenue. 11:51p.m: Another incident of flooding was reported at the intersection of Palmetto Avenue and Brighton Road.

Feb. 16 - 2:33pm: Three students were caught "smoking pot" on the campus of . At the time of the report, two of the students were sent home on suspension while one was detained in the school office. 7:49pm: Humpty Dumpty Vandal--a victim's car was reportedly "egged" by the driver (and/or passengers) of a silver Monte Carlo. Eggs were thrown from the moving vehicle. According to the victim, the victim's whole family witnessed the vandalism.

Feb. 17 - 8:03am: Vandalism was reported on the Bill Drake Highway. A wall of the roadway was painted in black with the word "loon." 8:16a.m: A stray brown pit bull was reported on the 300 block of Inverness Drive. 4:26p.m: A victim reported an incident of road rage to Pacifica Police which involved another driver throwing a pipe at the victim's vehicle.

Feb. 18 - 2:24am: A Convenient Urination--A report from 7-Eleven, on Clarendon Road, alleged that a man had urinated on the convenient store. 10:34am: An abandoned auto was reported on the 400 block of Perry Avenue. The vehicle's windows were smashed and all four tires were flat.

Feb. 19 - 12:57a.m: A driver was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) at the intersection of Mirador Terrace and Carmel Avenue. 10:31a.m: An assault was reported on the 600 block of Miller Avenue. The caller reported that his wife had been pushed to the ground by her brother. 4:53p.m: A vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle belonged to a victim who had lent it to her boyfriend. The boyfriend did not return the vehicle, and the victim learned from his employers that he had been missing from his place of work for a week. 8:24p.m: Exhibitionism--a woman reported that she had seen a man masturbating outside her vehicle while she sat inside of the car on the 100 block of Carmel Avenue.

Feb. 20 - 1:36a.m: A 57-year-old resident of San Bruno, Leopoldo Tobilla, was arrested and booked at the main jail of Redwood City after turning himself in to Pacifica Police for a . Tobilla, who was found to be driving under the influence at the time, hit a pedestrian who was walking into the lanes of traffic on SR-35 near Sharp Park Road. The victim was 25-year-old Scott Garrigan.

Feb. 21 - 7:45a.m: An unknown suspect smashed the window of a vehicle, parked on the 900 block of Oddstad Boulevard, to steal a tow rope, a GPS system and a pool stick. 12p.m: An unknown suspect smashed the window of a vehicle parked on Holiday Court. No theft from the vehicle had been reported. 5:19p.m: A victim was shot by 3 males with paint guns on the 700 block of Oceana Boulevard.

Writer and Editor's note: Despite the comical nature of the Police Blotter, the hit-and-run incident that occurred on Feb. 20 is not a laughable matter. Our condolences go out to the family of the victim. Please drive safely and responsibly, Pacifica.
