Man Charged With Killing Girlfriend, Dumping Her Body in Pacifica
Authorities believe Albert Trejo, 49, fatally shot his girlfriend on the eve of Valentine's Day in San Bruno.
A San Bruno man has been charged with killing his girlfriend on the eve of Valentine's Day and then leaving her corpse at a Pacifica apartment complex.
Albert Trejo, 49, delayed entering a plea Friday in San Mateo County Superior Court to the charges that he allegedly killed Cecelia Zamora, 36, on Feb. 13. Her body was discovered in a storage area at a Pacifica apartment complex on April 26.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Karen Guidotti told the San Mateo County Times that she was killed by a single gunshot wound to the back of her head. Trejo allegedly called one of his neighbors after the killing, was crying and said his gun had gone off. Trejo later told the neighbors he and Zamora had a fight and she left.

No details were available on what evidence allegedly ties Trejo to the crime. He was booked into San Mateo County jail Aug. 29.
Trejo faces up to life in prison if convicted. He is being held without bail, and is due back in court later this month to enter a plea to the charges.
