Once deep inside the park, it almost feels as if no suburb or city is near: to the north, a steep, wooded embankment hides a residential neighborhood, and to the south, San Pedro Valley County Park makes the near-wilderness appear endless--until you reach the veritable palace of a playground.</p>
<p>Restrictions on dogs, fireworks, fires and smoking keep the park clean and quiet, and being that it borders--and yet somehow feels removed from--busy Oddstad Blvd. means it's close enough to enjoy even on a lunch break. </p>
