Thanks for the memories! In Vallemar, I remember the noon siren from the volunteer firehouse, theRead More rodeo at the quarry, the horses at the quarry, learning to drive on the quarry road, the dog groomer by the golf course with the X-mass lights, the amused carrot, Grants, glen 5 & 10, Ben franklin's, Adams paints with Daisy the Basset hound, and I miss (just a little) the old Sharp Park Road.

Yes, in a perfect world, but you know very well that such a figure of funds would not beRead More appropriated correctly for that purpose nor administered properly after going through the bureaucratic channels. Simply a sad part of today's world.

Hmmm, contractors do know better, they have to care that dumping cement or stucco residuals in aRead More waterway via a storm sewer will harm or kill all creatures downstream. Many simply don't care.

There is a distinct gray residue today all along the west side of Oddstad, beginning from somewhereRead More above Everglades and going down past Yosemite. You can also see streaks of gray leading to every storm drain along the way, as well as a gray residue in places along the curb. There are also tire tracks of gray leading up Everglades from traffic turning off Oddstad. Seems pretty evident to me that some leaking cement truck or other dirty construction vehicle came down Oddstad in the last couple of days (since the Thursday rains). A little simple detective work could determine where the construction work (new driveway?) just occurred and who did it, but since it's now after the fact, I'm sure little can be done about it. Contractors should know better, but unfortunately, some still don't.

I loaned a bunch of pictures to Camden which I never got back. The pictures showed many colors ofRead More San Pedro Creek. The creek was blue, orange, grey and I've witnessed other colors. I especially like it when it looks like a giant bubble bath. NOT!!!!! Every car washed drains into the creek and it creates mounds of bubbles at the bridges on Linda Mar Blvd. Capistrano, Adobe, Peralta and on into the ocean. Maybe if we get those pictures back, we can post them. This was a welcome letter and you did a great job. Please keep reminding people that everything that ends up running along the curb into the storm drains, ends up going directly into the creek.
