Happy Hour With the Pacifica Beach Coalition

Want to learn more about how you can help our community, spend time outdoors and make a difference? Attend one of the Pacifica Beach Coalition’s Happy Hours held the last Thursday of each month at the Salada Cafe on Paloma Avenue. This month the theme will be "What's the most interesting/strange/funny thing you've found during a recent beach clean-up?" If you can't bring the actual item, please bring a photo or story to share.  Prizes will be given for the best find. This month’s prizes are walkie talkies or a watch.

Pacifica Spindrift Players Present 'Noises Off'

“Noises Off” by Michael Frayn is a British farce about a wacky cast of actors rehearsing and performing a play. The second act requires the entire set to be rotated, revealing the backstage and all the shenanigans that ensue. With the Spindrift Theatre in Pacifica yellow-tagged due to a sagging roof, the actors have been rehearsing in a small gallery space, ever hopeful of finding a new home. Thanks to the generous assistance of the Jefferson Union High School District, the show has thankfully relocated to the theater of the defunct Serramonte High School campus, now Serramonte del Rey, in Daly City, running through Sept. 15.
