New Surf Exhibit Opens, Fandango Dinner Dance Kicks Off 28th Annual Pacific Coast Fog Fest

The Moss Beach Distillery is hosting a Mutt Mixer Fall Fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. Well-behaved dogs allowed on the pet-friendly patio with raffle prizes donated. For $20, guests will receive tasty veggie finger foods and two drink tickets. Moss Beach Distillery will donate $10 from each ticket to PHS/SPCA animals.

Drop In Food Program

Free bread and more generously donated by Safeway Half Moon Bay with additional items provided by Fresh & Easy Pacifica. Donations vary from week to week and whenever possible you can take up to 2 loaves of bread and 1 pastry until items are gone. No appointment necessary. At the Pacifica Resource Center meeting room on Palmetto at the end of the building.

My Money & Me Financial Support Group

Monthly financial support group to learn about your relationship with money, develop a personal spending plan, share money saving tips, and learn how to clean up (or build) your credit. Changing spending habits is hard and takes time, so with the additional support of the Pacifica Resource Center, we can make these changes together. Groups are open to anyone wanting to make a personal financial change.

Pacifica Writers' Forum meets the 3rd Thursday of each month. Come and share the joy of writing, reading, and poetry. At Florey’s Book Co; 2120 Palmetto Ave., Pacifica.

Scott Holiday at Surf Spot

Scott Holiday, singer/guitarist, will be performing all kinds of tunes, some well-known, some wacky from 8 to 10 p.m. at Surf Spot Restaurant. Enjoy the bar and family restaurant with great food and drink, and a spacious outdoor area with fire pits. Free show.

Oceana Art Gallery: The Surf Show

Opening night for "The Surf Show," a collection of surf art and photography, running through Oct. 20 at Oceana Art Gallery, 150 Eureka Square, Pacifica.

Saturday, Sept. 21

Linda Mar Beach Clean Up for Coastal Clean Up Day

It’s that time of year again when the state’s largest volunteer event gives all Californians the chance to learn about and actively participate in conserving coastal resources. Join your fellow Pacificans to pick up and clear away debris collecting along our beaches, parks, shoreline, creeks, parking lots and neighborhood streets from Mussel Rock to Sweeney Ridge to Pedro Point before the winter rains wash it all into the ocean. Meet at the seawall next to Taco Bell at 9 a.m. with the Pacifica Beach Coalition for Coastal Clean Up Day. Celebration at 11:30 a.m. at Rockaway Beach.

Fog Fest Fandango

A dinner and dance celebration and official kick off celebration to Fog Fest weekend, presented by the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce. Live music, food and drink, a silent auction, raffle and Spanish attire is encouraged as a prize for best costume will be awarded. The Taco Man will be on site serving up some Mexican delights along with dessert and more food stations to satisfy all appetites. A no-host wine & beer bar with a signature sangrias and refreshing (alcohol & non-alcohol) margaritas will be served up. Special entertainment by The Unauthorized Rolling Stones - always a crowd favorite Put on those boogie show and come dance the night away to their most popular songs.  A Silent Auction with great items and services will be available to bid on throughout the night and if that's not your thing, try your hand at the 50/50 raffle with more great prizes. At St. Peter's Church, 700 Oddstad Blvd., Pacifica.
