Tuesday

Community Forum on Parenting in Pacifica

The Pacifica Youth Service Bureau wants to hear from Pacifica parents about how they can build programs and supports to help with the journey of raising very young children ages 0 to 5. The community forum is free and is designed to provide information on early childhood mental health issues and to get feedback on what kind of programs, such as parenting groups, we might be able to host at PYSB. 

Wednesday

Understanding the Affordable Health Care Act, Lunch n’ Learn Seminar

Find out how the new health care laws can make you look like a hero to your employees or your family by providing better benefits while saving money at the same time, with the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce and special guest speaker Congresswoman Jackie Speier and Wendy McLaughlin, CLU, ChFC, CASL, Financial Services Professional. At the Sharp Park Restaurant at the Sharp Park Golf Course. This event repeats on Friday at Nick's Restaurant but it's for breakfast and Speier will not be attending. Click here for more details.

PCT Camera and Floor Workshop

Camera workshop covers the essentials of powering up and preparing our studio cameras for operation, and provides volunteers with basic skills of camera work, including shot structure, composition and movement, terminology, and working with the director. Must be a member of Pacifica Community Television to sign up.

Fifth Annual 50|50 Show

The Fifth Annual 50|50 Show Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica opens Friday. The artists for this show were selected by juror Lonnie Lee, the founder and curator of Vessel Gallery in Oakland. Vessel Gallery is at the nexus of Oakland’s burgeoning downtown art scene, where it has, since its opening there in 2010, played a pivotal role in the popularity and success of the Oakland Art Murmur phenomenon.
