The Fall Family Fun Fest is an annual play festival designed to promote healthy family play, both competitive and cooperative, with an emphasis on participation and a sense of community.
The 31st Annual Family Fun Fest will take place this Sunday at Fog Fest from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ingrid B. Lacy School field on Palmetto Avenue, at the North end of the Fog Fest.
The Pacific Coast Fog Fest promotes the City of Pacifica, attracts visitors, celebrates our community, and raises funds for local non-profit community groups. The Fog Fest is produced by the Fog Fest Organizing Group (FFOG). Local non-profit/community groups contribute time, energy, and enthusiasm to the running of the festival. All profits generated by the Fog Fest will be distributed to these groups, as well as a contribution to the “A Gift for Pacifica” fund.
Every year, hundreds of families attend and take part in a wide variety of games and activities implemented by city staff and trained volunteers for the Fun Fest. A truly collaborative effort of community groups, businesses, and San Francisco State University student volunteers, the Fun Fest has been an essential event in Pacifica for over 30 years, helping to introduce “new games” and the idea of cooperative play to the community.
The event is free and tons of fun. Kids, bring your sisters, brothers, parents and grandparents for a great afternoon of family fun.
Thousands are expected to visit the Fog Fest on September 28th and 29th. To help you plan your visit, click here for some tips to make your trip to the coast a more fun and enjoyable one.
