Did You Attend the Community Forum on Highway 1 Widening?

The event is sponsored by the Pacificans for Highway 1 Alternatives and Pacificans for a Scenic Coast.

Members of the Pacificans for Highway 1 Alternatives and Pacificans for a Scenic Coast (a project of Pacifica’s Environmental Family) are hosting a "Community Forum on Highway 1 Widening" Oct. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Vallemar School, 377 Reina Del Mar, in the Multipurpose Room.

The "Highway 1 Widening" is Caltrans' proposed work on Highway 1 from north of Reina Del Mar to sough of Fassler Avenue (known as the Calera Parkway Project), funded by the San Mateo Transportation Authority (TA).

According to the "Community Forum on Highway 1 Widening" press release, topics of discussion will include the "huge footprint of the planned project, why there are two local citizen lawsuits challenging the project, what you can do about it, and alternative ways to reduce traffic."
