NerdWallet ranked the Pacifica Beach Coalition as one of the Bay Area’s Top 4 “cleanup” nonprofit groups for its work protecting the city’s coast and marine wildlife.
The PBC got plaudits for holding monthly cleanups and promoting sustainable practices through a liaison program involving schools throughout the Bay Area, among other activities.
“As with any successful movement or organization, the Pacifica Beach Coalition is rooted in community action, starting at the individual level,” NerdWallet said.
The website praised the Pacific Beach Coalition for providing “an effective and reliable model that could and should be adapted by conservation organizations around the world.”
