Local Environmentalist Group Honored

Pacifica Beach Coalition named among Bay Area's top "cleanup" nonprofits. A Pacifica environmentalist group was honored as a top "cleanup" nonprofit groups by a personal finance website.

NerdWallet ranked the Pacifica Beach Coalition as one of the Bay Area’s Top  4 “cleanup” nonprofit groups for its work protecting the city’s coast and marine wildlife.

The PBC got plaudits for holding monthly cleanups and promoting sustainable practices through a liaison program involving schools throughout the Bay Area, among other activities.

“As with any successful movement or organization, the Pacifica Beach Coalition is rooted in community action, starting at the individual level,” NerdWallet said.
