Linda Mar Beach Trashed, Help Needed

I've received several reports that Linda Mar beach is trashed! The great weather has brought in the whole Bay Area and they haven't joined the clean beaches campaign yet.

If there is any chance you or any of your groups (even 3-4 people make a huge difference) could think of cleaning a beach now and again it would be so timely. The Pacifica Beach Coalition can give you bags (and gloves, too, if you need them). 

On another very similar note.  The will be coming to Pacifica in the very near future to compare Pacifica with 5 other communities for "Most Beautiful Town".  In addition to cleaning our streets, beaches, pier and public places, there is a huge call to help Public Works trim weeds and a number of other projects to make our city the most beautiful it can be. 

If you didn't know, the Public Works Department has been cut back significantly from the budget cuts. They didn't have the staff to do all of this work before and are tapped even more to do it now. If you, your family, or some people in your group could join together and help with this, can you please let me know.  

We are planning a work day on Thursday June 30 from 10a.m.-6p.m. or later if needed to address a number of things. If you have time off work or know of people with time off work, can you pass the note along? I see it as a fun time working together with others like Earth Day!  Also needed  Leader for Habitat Restoration at  this Sunday, June 26 10a.m.-12p.m. There is a really easy job that would be so helpful to the beach (cut wild radish and mustard from near the bike path).  I can prepare you for the job and get you tools.
