Fog Fest Needs Your Help

Would you like to help put on the Fog Fest? The Fog Fest Organizing Group (FFOG) is looking for some good people to help us keep the Fog Fest going as strong as it has been for the past 26 years. We are seeking volunteers in various capacities. 

If you’re interested, please come to an open house at the Moose Lodge, 776 Bradford Way, on Wednesday evening, Feb. 15 at 7p.m. The Fog Fest board members will be there to meet and talk with you. We’ll tell you what we do, we’ll learn about you and what you’re interested in, we’ll answer your questions and we’ll ask you some questions. We’ll have some snacks and treats, maybe a little wine. 

We’re especially interested in people who have experience in or a desire to learn about publicity and marketing, sponsorships, social media, stage managing, and the logistics of putting on a major event like the Fog Fest. Even if you’re not interested in these areas, we still need your help in producing the Fog Fest. If you want to help, we’ll find a way for you to do that.

Please come meet the Fog Fest board, tell us what you’re interested in, and find out if you’d like to work with us. We work hard, but we have more fun and provide more fun to the community than anyone else in town.

Why: to help the Fog Fest continue to provide the biggest 2-day fundraiser and party in town, with a parade, arts and crafts and community booths, 3 stages of live music, food and beverages including the famous Fog Cutter, Family Fun Fest, sand castle contest, photo contest, fog bank contest, Fog Jog, activities for the kids, and a bunch of other fun things. All proceeds are shared among 45 local community groups who participate in the Fog Fest – the total raised in just the past 12 years exceeds $610,000! Please join us in keeping this great tradition alive!
