Save the Date - for the Second Annual Pacificans Care SUMMER SWEEP - City Wide Garage Sale!
Accumulate and liquidate while doing something great to cultivate, celebrate and elevate our community. On Saturday, August 6th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Pacificans Care, a non-profit 501(c)(3) local organization that has supported social services in Pacifica for over 28 years will sponsor and coordinate the second annual city wide garage sale to help raise funds to support Child Care, Senior Services, the Youth Service Bureau and the Resource Center in Pacifica.
Last year was a huge success with 58 sites generating over $7,000, that went directly back into the community. The Sweep also generated additional leftover donated goods to local charities, kept three tons of "stuff" out of the dump, and provided at least a ton of fun and treasures for the buyers, sellers and neighbors. We couldn't have done it without widespread community support, and we want to make it even bigger and better this year. So we need you all again...especially during these continuing challenging times.

It's not every day that your spare toaster and grandma's old furniture can help strengthen our community! This will be an opportunity for each seller to make money at their individual garage sale, and to donate some funds to Pacificans Care--- and get a tax deductible contribution letter. Pacificans Care will produce a city wide sale spreadsheet showing locations by neighborhood and merchandise available.... and extensively market and publicize all locations using a variety of media to maximize success.
In the SUMMER SWEEP you get a chance to CLEAN OUT, HELP OUT and HAVE FUN! It's never too early, so save the date (Saturday, August 6th for the sale and Saturday, July 16th deadline to register), put it on your calendar, start saving and organizing those things you no longer use or need, one person's trash may be another's treasure. Recruit your neighbors and watch for future notices here and around town as well as downloadable web information (including registration forms, deadlines, maps, resources, selling hints and much more.
