Here is a list of holiday closings for Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
Fourth of July 2012: On this day in 1776, the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress, setting the 13 colonies on the road to freedom as a sovereign nation. As always, this most American of holidays will be marked by parades, fireworks and backyard barbecues across the country.
And, with all national holidays, many offices and businesses will be closed:

- All federal, state and county offices: Closed
- Pacifica City Hall and respective offices: Closed
- Schools: Closed
- Libraries: Closed
- Post Office: Closed (no mail delivery)
- Banks: Closed
- SamTrans will operate a Sunday schedule, www.samtrans.com
- Caltrain will operate a Sunday schedule, www.caltrain.com
- BART will operate a Sunday schedule http://www.bart.gov/
- Pacifica Police Administration offices will be closed, but in an emergency, call 911 or 650-355-7256.
