Pacifica American’s 9-10 year-old All-Star teams defeated Foster City 5-3 in a District 52 Little League championship game on Wednesday, the San Mateo Daily Journal reports.
The title game was a rematch of a winner’s bracket final last week in which Pacifica trounced Foster City 11-0 in a mercy-ruled four inning game.
Christian Falk’s one-out double in the bottom of the first started a two-run inning that set the tone for Pacifica American’s first ever 9-10 year-old district championship.
Elijah Ricks’ two-run double in the second highlighted a pivotal three-run second inning.
