Kids Jump for the Record

The Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo set out to beat a world record for jumping jacks.

On Tuesday afternoon at 3:30pm Pacific time, the Boys and Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County, which has two club houses in Pacifica, joined with Boys and Girls Clubs across the country to try to beat the record for most people simultaneously doing jumping jacks for two minutes.

Though the count is still coming in, Executive Director Sharon Dolan said that with kids at over 1,000 clubs jumping together nationwide, they almost certainly beat the existing record of 278 people.

Watch the kids at the South San Francisco club jump together to meet the challenge.
