Pacifica School District Kindergarten Tours Underway

If you have a child who will be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2014, your child is eligible to attend kindergarten in fall 2014.   

Parents are encouraged to tour all school sites.  School tours are scheduled into January 2014.

Kindergarten information packets are available at the District Office and at school sites.  In the packet is a Kindergarten Enrollment Card.  After touring the school sites, parents will indicate their choices of schools on the card.  Parents must tour the schools they are listing on the enrollment card. 

If the number of applications exceeds the number of spaces available for any given site, a lottery for the available spaces for that site will be held.  If a drawing is necessary, it will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014. Parents are welcome, but not required, to attend the lottery drawing.

Transitional Kindergarten

If your child’s 5th birthday falls between September 2 and December 2, your child qualifies for the Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program offered at Ortega and Sunset Ridge Schools.

Applications for the TK program are available at the Pacifica School District Office - 375 Reina del Mar Avenue.

School tours are not mandatory for TK enrollment.
