Help Pacifica Schools Win $100K at Office Hours Tonight

Come say hi, grab a cup of coffee and a yard sign to help Pacifica schools win $100,000.

I've got a ton of yard signs that need posting. Each will let passers-by and your neighbors know how they can help local schools win $100,000 from Patch.

Getting our schools the money is simple but competitive. Vote once a day for local resident Mary Ellen Forrest's beautiful holiday light display. The top vote-getter nationwide will come away with the money, which will be split among public Pacifica schools.

Come down to the Linda Mar Starbucks today at 6p.m. to pick up your yard sign and say hi. do you have ideas on how we might win the money? Let me know tonight.

As a finalist she is guaranteed $500 to help pay those holiday-sized electric bills and a shot at winning a $100,000 donation for her public school districts.

Forrest said she will be spreading the word to friends and family around the country to vote for her.

"If there's a chance to help the Pacifica schools then I am all for it because this is a very poor school district," she said.

Vote once a day, every day, for your favorite — and feel free to share the link on all your social networks! Voting ends at midnight ET on Jan. 8.
