ORTEGA ELEMENTARY GARDEN EMERGENCY REPAIR EVENT

ORTEGA GARDEN EMERGENCY REPAIR EVENT
May 5th, 9am-12pm
As you may have heard by now, the greenhouse and garden at our school was recently broken into and hundreds of dollars of damage was done. It will cost us thousands to fix and prevent future break-ins. PLEASE, if you have any skills putting in irrigation lines, repairing fences, re-planting beds, we are now in DESPERATE NEED of volunteers to help correct the damage done. The students and teachers have put a lot into this garden and we don’t want to see it disappear.

There are three ways you can help:

Contact Cynthia Wilkinson (Ortega teacher and Garden Coordinator) directly if you have any of the skills mentioned above or are available to help within the next week or so: cwilkinson@pacificasd.org or 650-738-6670, ext. 141.

Reach out to people you know who may be willing to help with their time and/or materials. Put them in touch with Mrs. Wilkinson.

Come to a Garden Repair “Party” on May 5th, any time between 9am and 12pm so that we can get the Garden Program back on track. Ortega’s garden is a true gem and directly contributes to our children’s education. Even ½ hour or your time would be great! Thanks for your support! Margo Meiman - ammeiman@sbcglobal.net.
