Pacifica Historical Society Gets a Little Closer to It's Goal

The Pacifica Historical Society held another successful rummage sale at the Little Brown Church this weekend.

This past weekend, the Pacifica Historical Society held its monthly rummage sale at the Little Brown Church in Pacifica.  On Friday and Saturday, they opened the LBC's tours to a line of interested bargain hunters and thrift shoppers -- and every cent earned went towards the PHS's ultimate goal of restoring the Little Brown Chruch and turning it into a museum dedicated to the history of Pacifica, Sharp Park, Linda Mar and the Ocean Shore Rail Road.

With a strong turn out, PHS president Kathleen Manning was also able to pump up  many of the rummage sale visitors for the upcoming tours of Sam's Castle, the conspicuous building that overlooks Pacifica City Beach.  The historical society is hosting its annual tours of the castle on April 27 & 28, and May 4 & 5.  Tickets still available at its website, and all proceeds also go toward the restoration of the Little Brown Church.

All in all, the rummage sale was a big success.  PHS will host its next sale on Friday May 10th and Saturday May 11th.
