Original post 3/22/13

In 2012, Management Partners was tasked by the City of Pacifica with analyzing data and information related to the possible contracting out of police services.

In July of 2012 Management Partners prepared a verbal and PowerPoint presentation, which was never finalized into a written report. Management Partners Consultants presented the PowerPoint presentation to councilmembers, according to a press release from the city dated Feb. 13. The city attorney had maintained the report would not be made public because it pertained to private negotiations.

Still, City Council believes the information should be made public. A written version of that presentation is being prepared by Management Partners and was scheduled for release on March 20, 2013.

However, at this time City staff needs more time to work with the consultant to finalize the report for dissemination.

"We simply need time to make sure all the numbers are correct as presented in the report," said City Manager Steve Rhodes.

The release has been rescheduled for April 2, 2013.
