Actually Jim Vreeland (The Ghost Councilman) seat is up for grabs in November. He resigned.
Hopefully we can get someone with common sense to replace him. This city is on the brink of bankruptcy and the last person we need to elect is another anti progress candidate.

Here are the 3 I'm voting for:
Maryann Nihart: incumbent, VA nurse. Mike O'Neill: school board member, realtor. Sue Vellone: small business owner, Chamber president: 2011. Rotary president 2012

Thanks for noting, hutch. The post has been edited to reflect a third Pacifica City Council opening to replace Vreeland, who resigned earlier this year for health reasons

One interesting aspect of this City Council Election is that Mr. Vreeland seat is a two year term, that means candidates for office must state if they are running for either a four or two year position.

Bren, No need to vent your pent up anger at white people. Your statement is a perfect example ofRead More reverse racism. We live in an country where there are different races and different languages but the native language is English and to omit that language from any sign that was paid for by tax payers is a slap in the face. This has nothing to do with demographics or race wars. Take a step back, breath, and stop spreading your hate rhetoric.
