Phillip: The Supreme Court in 2008 (DC v Heller) decided what the current interpretation of the 2nd Amendment is. You may not like this and Courts opinions do change over time however like it or not their decision is all that really matters. The Heller decision specifically affirmed a personal right to bear arms detaching this right from the “well-regulated militia” clause. In short the right to bear arms is not associated to folks who need to be in the ready should the government need to draft them into an 18th century style militia, but for things like self-defense. If you view this as extreme that is your prerogative however it’s the law of the land.

"There is a big difference between breathing flesh and blood and an embryo." Jo Tog - "No. There is not." If you ordered a 12 piece bucket of chicken at KFC and they gave you a dozen eggs you'd be the first to complain.
