Meet the Candidates for Mayor at a Public Forum Monday

Dixon Mayoral candidates will be at the Council Dias this Monday at 7 p.m. to answer your questions at part-three of the Public Election Forums.

Get to know the candidates vying to be Dixon's Mayor this Monday at part three of the Dixon District Chamber of Commerce's public election forum series.

The forum will be held at City Hall, 600 East A St., at 7 p.m.

Each candidate will be allotted a five-minute opening statement, and given approximately four questions prepared by the committee, candidates will have two-minutes to respond.

Audience members will have the opportunity to submit written questions or stand to ask questions.

No questions deemed “personal” will be allowed. The forum will end with a three-minute closing speeches from each candidate.

It was an informative and well-attended forum. After discovering we could not watch the forum via web stream, I drove down to be there in person and wished that more citizens could have the opportunity to have seen/heard the candidate responses. We must find a way to get these kinds of forums online as there is always more intellect/experience visible than there can be learned from print.

I was so excited to have been able to watch it on my cable! I had no idea I had the government public access channel until a couple days ago. The DVR is a fabulous asset to have, with a pause and rewind button.
