City Council Meeting Preview: Fire Suppression Assessment Tax and Unruly Gatherings

Some explanation of the agenda for the upcoming city council meeting.

At the Pacifica City Council meeting Monday night, a public hearing about a proposed will give property owners the opportunity to voice their opinions about the issue.

At the end of that hearing, the wondow to turn in ballots will close. The official vote tally will start Tuesday morning.

The city council is also being asked to make it easier for Pacifica Police to fine the hosts of noisy parties where minors are being served alcohol.

By ammending part of Pacifica's municipal code, passed in the wake of an especially out-of-control party a few years ago, administrative fees would be set for anyone serving or allowing alcohol to be served to minors at their home. Those fees would be issued by the police.
