Chamber to SF Mayor: Veto Avalos Ordinance

The Pacifica Chamber of Commerce sent two letters to San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee asking him to veto an ordinance that could end golf at Sharp Park.

Editor's Note: This letter was sent by Pacifica Chamber of Commerce CEO Courtney Conlon to San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee regarding the recent  to investigate the transfer of supervision of the , owned and operated by the City of San Francisco, to another agency, including the National Parks Service, present locally as the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Attached to the letter below are two additional letters, one from Conlon and another from President of the Chamber Board of Directors Christine Porter. Those letters are included here as PDFs in the gallery to the right. A member of the Chamber of Commerce provided the letter to Pacifica Patchfor publication. 

Good Afternoon Honorable Mayor Lee:

Attached (in as PDFs in the gallery to the right) are two letters from the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce, in support for you to veto the Avalos Ordinance and Save Sharp Park Golf Course.

The first letter is from Christine Porter, our President of the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the second letter attached is from me, Courtney Conlon, CEO of the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce. In both letters, we strongly urge you to please veto the Avalos Ordinance and Save Sharp Park Golf Course! Earlier todayI also faxed both letters to your office.
