Vegetation Fire in Pacifica Threatens Homes

Residents were forced to evacuate due to a fire in the area of Milagra Drive.

A five-acre brush fire came within 20 feet of homes this afternoon in Pacifica before it was brought under control, fire officials said.

Around 20 residents were evacuated today due to the fire in the area of 451 Milagra Drive, which was reported just before 4 p.m., according to officials with the North County Fire Authority.

The fire was brought under control and extinguished within an hour with no injuries to civilians or firefighters, officials said.

The fire's cause is under investigation.
