Two Suspects Arrested for Stolen Car, Jewelry Estimated at $19K

A police officer first spotted the vehicle double parked on Hickey Boulevard in Pacifica with the two occupants inside.

A man and a woman found in a stolen vehicle with a substantial amount of jewelry inside were arrested last Thursday evening on Hickey Boulevard in Pacifica, according to Pacifica Police Sgt. Dave Barranti. 

George Marcus Siever, 28, from Antioch and Molly Idel Martin, 23, from Tracy were taken into custody after a Pacifica Police officer on patrol in the 600 block of Hickey Boulevard determined that the two suspects were in a car that had been reported stolen out of Oakley, Calif.

The officer first spotted the vehicle double parked on the street with the two occupants inside. After conducting a computer check of the vehicle’s license plate, the officer determined the vehicle was stolen and initiated a traffic stop. During a search of the vehicle, numerous items of property were located, including a large amount of jewelry later valued at approximately $19,000 by the owner’s estimate.

The suspects were booked into the San Mateo County jail on various charges related to this vehicle stop.

The victim of the jewelry theft reported the items missing from her parked car at 275 Gateway on Friday. Through investigation, Pacifica Police officers determined the jewelry located in the stolen vehicle Thursday night was the jewelry stolen from the vehicle at 275 Gateway.

Based on the theft of the jewelry, other charges were added against the two suspects.

Investigation is continuing to identify some of the other property in the vehicle.
