Two Coastal Child Care Businesses Hit by Burglaries Over the Weekend

Business hit in early morning.

Between Sunday afternoon and early Monday morning suspects broke into and ransacked a Half Moon Bay children's center and an El Granada preschool, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

Sometime between 3:45 p.m. Sunday and 6:50 a.m. Monday suspects forced entry into the Coastside Child Development Center, located at 565 Redondo Beach Road in Half Moon Bay, by prying open a locked window, sheriff's deputies said.

Once inside the thieves took a computer and a box filled with children's medication, sheriff's officials said.
