Transient Man Arrested on Suspicion of Beating Girlfriend In Hotel

South San Francisco police are looking for information about the crime.

By Bay City News--A transient man was arrested for allegedly choking his girlfriend in a South San Francisco hotel Friday night, according to police.

Derrick Taylor, 23, was arrested after allegedly punching and choking his 19-year-old girlfriend in a South San Francisco hotel at about 1:30 am on Friday.

The two had been arguing when Taylor struck the teenage woman with his fists and choked her. She fought Taylor off, fled to another room, and called the police, according to police.

Arriving officers arrested Taylor, and the victim was treated for minor injuries sustained in the fight.
