SWAT Team Searches Linda Mar Home, Police Arrest Man for Gunshot

Arthur "AJ" Armstrong and he was charged with Felon in Possession of a Handgun and Felonious Discharge of a Firearm for an incident that occurred on March 23.

The and Daly City SWAT Team served a search warrant at a residence on Linda Mar Boulevard Thursday.

The search was part of the ongoing investigation into that occurred during the morning of March 23 where a man led police on a high-speed chase, crashed his Mustang into a parked car and allegedly discharged his firearm when a police officer tried to pursue, police say. 

After police searched the residence, an arrest warrant was obtained for 39-year-old Arthur “AJ” Armstrong and he was charged with Felon in Possession of a Handgun and Felonious Discharge of a Firearm, Capt. Joe Spanheimer said.

Armstrong was in San Mateo County Superior Court on Monday for unrelated charges and was taken into custody for the outstanding warrant, Spanheimer said.
