Stormy Weather Knocks Out Power in Parts of Pacifica, Greater Bay Area

Between 50 and 500 customers are without power in the Vallemar District

The stormy weather has knocked out power to thousands of Bay Area residents today.

As of 12:45 p.m., the hardest-hit area was the North Bay, where 2,400 PG&E customers were without electricity, many in the Inverness Park area, PG&E spokeswoman Fiona Chan said.

According to PG&E, between 50 and 499 customers are without power in Pacifica's Vallemar District.

On the Peninsula, about 1,200 customers were without power in areas including Pescadero, where less than 50 customers are without power, Loma Mar and La Honda, Chan said.

About 1,700 customers in Los Altos, Sunnyvale and other parts of the South Bay were also affected, as were 1,300 customers in the East Bay, mostly in the Oakland Hills, Concord and Pacheco.

Five hundred customers were affected by outages in San Francisco.
