South San Francisco Police Looking for Vehicle Burglary Suspect

Police said someone smashed a vehicle's front passenger side window, reached inside and stole the victim's purse, which contained a substantial amount of cash and credit cards, then fled the scene on foot.

A suspect broke into a vehicle parked in South San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon, police said Wednesday.

The burglary was reported at 12:51 p.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of Stonegate Drive.

Police said the suspect smashed the vehicle's front passenger side window, reached inside and stole the victim's purse, which contained a substantial amount of cash and credit cards, then fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a black man between 18 to 25 years old with a slender build who is between 5 foot 9 inches and 6 feet tall, weighs 150 pounds and has brown eyes. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black beanie, blue jeans and white shoes, according to police.

The suspect was seen loitering in the area a few hours prior to the incident and immediately afterward, police said.

Great description, they should get him in no time. Lesson here, don't leave anything in a car if you see dirtbags hanging around. Actually better to never leave anything in your car except for a poisonous snake in a money bag !
