A search warrant lead to the seizure of firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. The suspect, a convicted felon, was placed under arrest.

A convicted felon who was believed to be illegally selling firearms, was arrested on Friday when San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force (SMCNTF) agents found four firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition at the suspect's San Mateo home.

The Jan. 11 investigation by SMCNTF agents led to the issuance of a search warrant at the home of Antonio Infante, 35, located in the 1300 Block of Speers Avenue.

According to SMCNTF, once Infante was located and detained without incident, a they searched his residence and his vehicle, which resulted in the  seizure of three handguns, two revolvers, one semiautomatic and an SKS assault rifle fully loaded with a high capacity magazine. Also located were hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Infante, who is a convicted felon, was placed under arrest and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility.  He is being held on $250,000 bail.

I believe the Chinese-manufactured semi-automatic replica SAS carbine the Sheriff seized may have a folding stock, as well, which is illegal in California....but the real question is, was Mr. Infante's loose ammunition stored in government approved reusable fiber bags or plastic?

Applause at least for the task force. Might this have been a tip or did Infante try to sell to a law enforcement undercover. Either way I hope Joan Dentler keeps her eye on this thread so the good that comes out of this storty doesn't continue to get mocked by one or even more individuals that have to push pro guns in every article written that involves a gun. Sound familiar 8:16 ?

Would you support a mandatory death penalty for illegal possession or use of a firearm?

@ Dick: I'm teasing. Point is bad guys could give a rats arse about laws however our legislators continue to talk about more laws which will only prevent law abiding folks from protecting themselves from guys in this article.

I am no lawyer, but my best guess is this will not be a three strikes case. I believe for a three strikes case to actually occur now, the third strike has to be an actual violent offense. Am I correct on this?
