Sharp Park Crash Still Under Investigation

The cause of a head-on collision on Sharp Park Road Sunday is still being examined by the Pacifica Police Department.

The cause of a major injury head-on collision accident involving two cars on Sharp Park Road Sunday is still under investigation.

At approximately 7 p.m. Sunday a vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Sharp Park Road, resulting in a head on collision, according to the Pacifica Police Department.

Units from the Pacifica Police Department, North County Fire Authority, South San Francisco Fire Department, and AMR paramedics responded to the crash blocking the westbound lanes of Sharp Park Road.

At the time of the collision, one vehicle had been occupied by two adults and the second vehicle had been occupied by two adults along with three children ages 8, 10, and 12.

All involved parties were treated at the scene by Fire and Paramedic personnel and transported to San Francisco General Hospital for further treatment.

The driver of one of the vehicles sustained life-threatening injuries and is being treated for those injuries, according to doctors at San Francisco General Hospital. The other involved parties had a variety of injuries, which were not life threatening.
