Sex Offender, Kidnapper Set For Parole Hearing Today

Man who forced a woman into her car at knifepoint in Pacifica, date raped a woman in Daly City and sexually assaulted a woman in San Francisco will seek parole for the fourth time today.

Bernard Jackmon will seek parole for the fourth time during his multiple-life sentence for kidnapping, date raping and sexually assaulting area women.

Jackmon, who committed the crimes throughout 1986, is currently serving three separate life sentences, one from San Mateo County and two from San Francisco County, in state prison with the chance of parole, said San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe.

On Nov. 2, 1986, Jackmon forced a Pacifica woman into her car at knifepoint and began driving away. The woman grabbed the knife and a struggle ensued. She escaped and Jackmon stole her car and purse, said Wagstaffe.

On Jan. 1, 1986, Jackmon date raped a 19-year-old Daly City woman in her apartment, said Wagstaffe. 

On Oct. 26, 1986, he forced a woman into her car in a San Francisco See's Candy parking lot at gunpoint, drove her to a parking garage and sexually assaulted her. On Nov. 1, 1986, he forced a woman at knifepoint into her car outside her place of work and drove off, said Wagstaffe.

His parole hearing is set for 1p.m. today at the California Training Facility Prison in Soledad.
