Seven People Safely Escape House Fire Friday Morning

Fire was at a house on Brookhaven Court.

Bay City News Service —  A fire at a Pacifica house Friday morning displaced seven residents, North County Fire Authority officials said.

 The fire was reported at 10:32 a.m. at a home on Brookhaven Court, fire officials said. Arriving firefighters found smoke and flames coming from the second-story window of the two-story house, officials said.

 The fire appears to have started in the kitchen area. Flames damaged the kitchen, dining room and living room, and there was smoke damage throughout the house, fire officials said.

The seven residents were displaced and are receiving housing assistance through the American Red Cross. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
