Update: Safeway Reopens After Fire

The Linda Mar Safeway reopened this morning after a generator fire yesterday.

Update 9:39a.m. The store is open again today. An employee said that the fire was caused by a generator and was not in the bakery. 

The Linda Mar Shopping Center Safeway is closed this afternoon after a fire broke out in its bakery (CORRECTION: The fire was caused by a generator elsewhere in the building and was not in its bakery) late this morning. 

The North Coast County Fire Authority responded to the scene at about 11:54a.m. and Pacifica Police stood by as the fire was extinguished.

NCCFA has not released information about the incident yet and its offices are closed on Sundays, so no one is available for comment. 

Pacifica Police are deferring to NCCFA for comments but said they had not heard of any injuries during the incident.
