Restitution for DUI Crash at Winters Tavern
Winters Tavern and victims of an incident that occurred last year, in which a woman crashed her truck into a wall of the bar, will now see restitution.
Restitution amounts were decided at a hearing on Friday for an in which a Daly City woman drove her truck into a wall at Winters Tavern on Francisco Blvd injuring seven people in January 2011.
The court order for restitution is $18,813 for Winters Tavern and $67,299 for Julie Mancuso. Amounts to be paid to Keith Coffee, Laurie Gaggero and to the Victims Compensation and Government Claims Board are yet to be determined through the Department of Corrections.
The Daly City woman, Carla Jean Andres, had spent the evening in January 2011 drinking beer and shots at Winters Tavern. Her blood alcohol content was later found ot be .20 percent, more than twice the legal limit.

At 2am, Andres attempted to make a U-turn in her Chevy truck, but could not. A witness outside the bar told her to park the truck and he would call a taxi for her. Andres stopped the truck but then revved the engine and shot foward, crashing into the wall of the bar.
Andres pled no contest to felony DUI causing bodily injury. She is now serving a sentence of five years in state prison.
