David Patrick O'Mara, 46 of San Francisco, a Silicon Valley real estate agent whom South San Francisco police found assaulting a 20-year-old woman at a motel last month now has a hearing date this fall.
A preliminary hearing has been set for September 13 at 2pm at South San Francisco Felony Court. This will be the third setting of the hearing date since the initial felony arraignment on June 8.
On June 7 at about 12:30am, O'Mara was found binding the feet of the female victim at Travelodge Motel 326 S. Airport Blvd. He claimed that she was a prostitute on myRedBook.com and had stolen an iPad and $280 during a meeting the previous day.
The victim told police that the suspect had entered her motel room, threatened to kill her, punched her several times, and began binding her feet.
O'Mara was detained at the motel and arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment, making terrorist threats, and battery causing serious bodily injury, police said.
The defendant now remains out of custody on $150,000 bail bond.
