Police Search For Man In Attempted Robbery

Incident occurred Sunday night. No one was injured.

are looking for a suspect in an attempted armed robbery at Linda Mar Center that occurred at 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to police Chief Jim Saunders, two employees of were confronted by a man near their car parked between and El Gran Amigo. The suspect, described by police as a black male, approximately 5'10", wearing dark clothing and a hat with “security” printed on the front, pulled a handgun on the two employees and demanded entrance to Ross and its safe. 

After the employees assured the man that they could not reenter the building, he fled on foot eastbound toward .

A vehicle seen in the area is potentially associated with the crime. It was described by the employees as a white Scion sedan with a red license plate insert. 

Pacifica Police are asking anyone who might have additional information about this crime to contact them at 650-738-7314.
