Update: Police Investigating Suspicious Death on Dell Road

Officers found a male laying unconscious in the front yard of a home on Dell Road after responding to an emergency call about a disturbance at the home.

Update 6:35 p.m.

At approximately 4 p.m. Wednesday, investigators from the Pacifica Police Department arrested a 24-year-old Pacifica resident for a homicide that occurred this morning on Dell Road.

Based on the investigation, it appears that the vicitm, a 25-year-old Pacifica resident, succumbed to his injuries as a result of the altercation with the suspect. Because of the ongoing investigation, further details and the identities of the victim and the suspect are being witheld at this time.

The suspect was booked into the main jail at the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office in Redwood City.

Police are investigating a suspicious death that occurred this morning on Dell Road.

Officers responded to a home on Dell Road at about 5:15 a.m. after receiving a 9-1-1 call about a disturbance at the home.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a male laying unconscious in the front yard of the home. Medical personnel determined that the person was dead.

Officers cordoned off the area, and an investigation into the incident is underway. 

According to a reader, there was heavy police activity on Peralta Road while police were investigating the incident. Police helicopters were hovering over the area and officers were stopping passing traffic.

Police have not yet identified the person and haven't said whether any foul play was involved. The death hasn't been ruled a homicide.
