Police Calls: Dog Reportedly Hit With Pepper Spray

Saturday, July 13
Firecrackers
- 12:58 a.m., Montezuma Drive; malicious mischief. Reporting party saw someone throw a firecracker at his vehicle; report taken.

Traffic
- 8:46 a.m., Cabrillo Highway and Linda Mar Boulevard. Garbage truck stalled on Southbound Highway 1 just before the tunnel; assisted and advised.
- 11:54 a.m., Carmel Avenue; accident, no injury. Subject was backing vehicle out of driveway collided with a westbound vehicle; assistance given.

- 9:44 a.m., Rest area on Cabrillo Highway, Pacifica; citizen arrest. Officer initiated contact. Log note made.
- 9:47 a.m., Pacifica Police Department on Cabrillo Highway; citizen arrest. Reporting party at the station inquiring about a citation. Log note made.
- 11:21 a.m., Pacifica Police Department on Cabrillo Highway; citizen arrest. Vehicle parked at the back of the police station. Advised.
Miscellaneous
- 1:03 p.m., Esplanade Avenue; vehicle stolen from locked garage. Last seen at 6 p.m. Friday, July 12; report taken.
- 1:27 p.m., Cabrillo Highway and Sea Bowl Lane; Deer down. Reporting party advised there was a deer down on the northbound lane on the coast highway; unknown if the animal was alive or dead. Referred to SPCA.
- 3:24 p.m., Granada Drive; property incident. Reporting party found a loaded pistol while cleaning out her brother’s house and asked police to pick it up; report taken.
Sunday, July 14
Loose pit bull
- 09:06 a.m., Crespi Drive; report of a pit bull dog running loose, officer responded and the animal was gone on arrival.
Traffic
- 9:47 a.m., Higgins Way; occurred overnight sometime between 5:45 and 10:15 p.m. Victim’s Toyota sustained damage to driver’s side rear bumper, no injuries, no suspect information; report taken.
- 11:11 a.m., Palmetto Avenue.; vehicle parked overnight in green zone; checked OK.
- 3:09 p.m., Cabrillo Highway/Manor off-ramp.; officer initiated contact and assisted party.
- 4:19 p.m., Escalero Avenue; abandoned vehicle, cargo trailer parked for a week. Note left for owner.
- 4:21 p.m., Sacramento Ter; abandoned vehicle, motor home with no license plates parked on street for more than a month. Log note made.

- 10:49 a.m., Pacifica Police Department on Cabrillo Highway; citizen arrest.
- 1:00 p.m., Pacifica Police Department on Cabrillo Highway; citizen arrest.
- 11:26 p.m. Brighton and Buckingham Roads; officer initiated traffic stop and subject was arrested; vehicle stored.
Suspicious circumstances
- 1:21 p.m., Manor Drive and Skyline Boulevard; a dog walking in the area tripped and fell and a male subject approached and pepper sprayed the animal; report taken.
Miscellaneous
- 1:40 a.m., Crespi Drive; disturbance. Reporting party said a known male from the area threatened to kill the reporting party’s dogs; report taken.
- 3:01 a.m., Oddstad Boulevard and Tioga Way; disturbance. Loud party reported in the area; log note made.
- 2:27 p.m., Montecito Avenue and Palmetto Avenue; municipal code violation. A male suspect wearing a blue cap and blue vest jacket was reported to be going through recycle bins. Suspect was gone when officers arrived.
- 5:08 p.m., Lunetta Avenue and Pacific Avenue; alcohol violation. Reporting party heard a vehicle stop and saw boxes of debris left in roadway. No vehicle description was available; officers advised.
- 9:14 p.m., Redwood Way; court order violation. Reporting party told police the father of her children said he would not be returning the children that evening; report taken.
- 9:23 p.m., Palmetto Avenue; private property tow. A green four-door Toyota was towed. Log note made.
