Police Blotter: No Smoking Warning, Go-Kart Skids, Bottle Rockets and M-80s

A run-down of recent crime and police activity in Pacifica

June 30 - 8a.m: Black graffiti was sighted on the north side of Sun Valley Market. The suspect was unknown. 12:32p.m: An unknown suspect reportedly smashed the window of a vehicle parked in the rest area parking lot at Linda Mar Beach. 9:27p.m: A resident of the 200 block of Kent Road reported illegal fireworks coming from a neighboring home. 

July 1 - 5:54a.m: A reckless driver was reported to Pacifica Police for swerving and speeding through traffic and nearly striking a pedestrian at the intersection of Crespi Drive and Roberts Road. 9:52a.m: No smoking warning. A report was made to Pacifica Police that workers of a firework stand at Fairmont Center were smoking in and nearby the booth, while a sign in plain view read "no smoking warning." 10:18a.m: A passerby reported that two passengers in a vehicle at the intersection of Danmann Avenue and Kent Road were engaging in a domestic dispute. The caller reported that a male passenger was physically assaulting the female driver in the vehicle. 

July 2 - 10:19a.m: Illegal M-80 fireworks were reportedly heard near the 1300 block of Adobe Drive.

July 3 - 2:21a.m: A motorist at the intersection of Cabrillo Highway and Francisco Boulevard was cited for driving under the influence (DUI). 1:33p.m: Go-Kart skids. A resident on the 1100 block of Crespi Drive was allegedly riding a go-kart through the roadway, leaving audible and visual skidmarks in the street causing a disturbance to neighbors. 

July 4 - Bottle Rockets and M-80s. Approximately 40 instances of illegal fireworks were reported to Pacifica Police on the Independence Day holiday. One reporting party described fireworks that were "too loud to be legal." 7:15p.m: An unknown subject threw and set-off illegal M-80 fireworks under a car parked on the 100 block of Beachview Avenue. 10:19p.m: A disturbance report of "bomb" sounding fireworks in the neighborhood nearby Waterford Street and Cliffton Road was called in to Pacifica Police. 10:43p.m: A resident of the 700 block of Arguello Road reported that kids on bikes shot illegal "roman candle" fireworks at the caller's home. 11:22p.m: An unknown subject threw an object through the garage window of a residence on the 700 block of Cindy Way. The object damaged the garage, breaking the window, and damaged a car parked within.

July 5 - 10:30a.m: An unknown subject stole a purse containing cash and credit cards from an unlocked car on the 1100 block of Crespi Drive. 1:06p.m: Three juveniles were reportedly shooting airsoft rifles into the creek on Verona Avenue, causing a disturbance to neighbors in the residential area. 1:26p.m: Five boxes full of unused illegal fireworks were found on the 400 block of Milagra Drive and reported to Pacifica Police for destruction.
