Police Blotter: Puppy Stolen From Front Yard; Burglary Suspect Cuts Carbon Footprint

Friday, Jan. 11

2:01 p.m. – Burglary – Alta Vista Drive – Police responded to a second-hand report of a burglary at a possibly vacant home with an open door and broken window.

8:42 p.m. – Vandalism - Crespi Drive - Juveniles allegedly threw eggs at the Pacifica Community Center.

Saturday, Jan. 12

9:15 a.m. – Burglary – Paloma Avenue – A laptop computer was stolen from a parked vehicle in a window-smash burglary.

10:03 a.m. – Burglary – Franz Court- A radio and backpack were stolen from a vehicle in the back of a parking lot.

10:06 a.m. – Burglary – Paloma Avenue – Unspecified items were stolen from a vehicle parked in a handicapped spot.

5:52 p.m. – SPCA Case – Adobe Drive/Higgins Way - Two young males of walking an unleashed pit bull called a woman who asked they leash their dog names. The two males were associated with a white and blue Ford Econoline van.

5:57 p.m. – Burglary – Gateway Drive – A Giants jacket and a backpack were stolen in a window-smash burglary. 

 

Sunday, Jan. 13

8:13 a.m. – Suspicious Circumstances -  Linda Mar Center – A witness told police they saw a male subject with a duffle bag of tools trying to pry open a door. The suspect jumped into a white van in the parking lot when he realized that the witness observed him.

 

Monday, Jan. 14

9:24 a.m. – Burglary -  Surf Street - A truck was broken into sometime after Saturday night.

11:39 a.m. – SPCA Case – Cabrillo Highway/Manor Drive exit - A skunk was trapped in the center divide. The case was referred to the SPCA.

2:32 p.m. – Malicious Mischief – Terra Nova Boulevard – Vandals smeared dog feces and overturned planter boxes.

8:29 p.m. – Property Damage – Francisco Boulevard - A vehicle left in a parking lot over the weekend was damaged when a fight broke out.

 

Tuesday, Jan. 15

5: 00 a.m. – Burglary -  Copeland Street – A vehicle break-in was reported by a neighbor.

 

 

Wednesday, Jan. 16

12:40 a.m. – Robbery – Seville Drive/Oviedo Court – The California Highway Patrol notified police that a black Land Rover with Idaho license plates was headed towards Linda Mar.

7:24 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle –  Skyridge Drive - The adult male driver of an SUV parked on the street numerous times drove off when approached by the reporting party.

9:00 a.m. – Malicious Mischief – Brighton Road – Vandals damaged the siding of a home.

10:32 a.m. – Malicious Mischief – Lockhaven Drive – Two tires on a Dodge pickup truck were slashed overnight.

11:23 a.m. – Stolen Dog – Oddstad Boulevard – A French bulldog puppy was stolen from a front yard. The dog’s owner overheard people outside his home saying “should we take him” when he was in the shower but he wasn’t sure what they were talking about at the time.

12:15 p.m. – Petty Theft – Linda Mar Center – A burglary suspect drove off in a small electric gray car with a black top.

8:16 p.m. – Robbery - Clarendon Road – The alleged female victim of robbery suffered facial bruising. She does not speak English well and was unable to immediately tell police where the incident occurred.

 

Thursday, Jan. 17

9:20 a.m. – Vehicle Stolen -  Rockaway Beach – A white Jeep Cherokee was stolen sometime since the previous night.

10:33 a.m. – Narcotics – Linda Mar Boulevard – Arrest made.
