Police Blotter: French Fry Stalker and Theft "Somewhere"

A round-up of crime and police activity in Pacifica

Aug 3 - 9:20p.m: The manager of Rite Aid at Linda Mar Center reported that a juvenile had stolen a bottle of alcohol. The underage male allegedly removed a bottle and ran out of the store, leaving the area in a red vehicle. A store employee was able to make a description of the suspect. Another, unknown, suspect allegedly removed a bottle of alcohol from behind the cash register counter and left the store without paying. An employee who witnessed the theft believed the two incidents to be related. 

Aug 4 - 7:30a.m: Theft "Somewhere." A Pacifica resident reported a Macbook laptop stolen from an unattended, unlocked vehicle "somewhere in Pacifica or Daly City." 8:45a.m: A bicycle was reported stolen from an unattended garage on the 100 block of Oddstad. The suspect was unknown. 7p.m: A resident of Eastridge Circle reported that two vehicles in the neighborhood were vandalized. The tires of two vehicles parked in front of neighboring homes were slashed. 8:40p.m: A home on the 300 block of Moana Way was reportedly vandalized overnight. The victim was inside the residence at the time, and found that a glass window pane on the garage door had been broken.

Aug 5 - 7:46p.m: A man was reported to police for causing a disturbance in La Playa Taqueria. The male subject was allegedly threatening the restaurant's patrons and attempting to challenge them to a physical fight.

Aug 6 - 2:12a.m: A possible firearm discharge was reported nearby Seaside and Marina drives. What sounded like two gunshots were heard. 12:49p.m: Four "suspicious subjects" were reported to police for stealing merchandise from Game Stop at Linda Mar Center. The suspects allegedly removed video games and controllers from an unlocked display case. A store employee also reported a stolen cell phone. 

Aug 7 - 3:29a.m: A driver was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) on the 300 block of Coral Ridge Drive. The driver hit a parked car and drove into a fence in the residential area. 4:04p.m: A resident of the 400 block of Milagra Drive reported the smell of marijuana coming from a neighboring home.

Aug 8 - 12:16p.m: A homeless encampment was reported on the 100 block of Palmetto Avenue. 4:35p.m: A resident of the 1100 block of Terra Nova Boulevard reported the smell of marijuana coming from a neighboring home. 9:49p.m: French Fry Stalker. A resident on the 700 block of Canyon Drive reported a found trail of french fries leading from the sidewalk to the front door of his home, which he believed indicated someone was "targeting his home." The man requested that police provide survelliance for his residence overnight.  

Aug 9 - 10:03p.m: A group of juveniles were reported to police for setting off fireworks and starting a bonfire at Sharp Park Beach.
