Police Blotter: Devil In A Car, Hiding Out and Just "Kickin' It"

A run-down of crime and police activity in Pacifica.

May 19 - 3:28p.m: A driver was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) at the intersection of Francisco Boulevard and Clarendon Road. 5:07p.m: A caller reported a reckless driver on the 1500 block of Madeira Drive. The driver was unlicensed and speeding up and down the street.

May 20 - 7:35a.m: A resident on the 5000 block of Palmetto Avenue reported that their vehicle had been burglarized and a wallet removed from the passenger seat. 9:21a.m: Devil in car. A caller reported a reckless driver at the intersection of Palmetto Avenue and Monterey Road. The vehicle was described as having a "Devil in Car" sticker in the rear window. The driver was allegedly speeding and "flipped off" the reporting party after cutting them off at a stop sign.  4:40p.m: Just "kickin' it." A passerby reported that unruly teens were kicking a parked vehicle on the 400 block of Monterey Road.

May 21 - 4:04a.m: A resident of the 700 block of Alta Vista Drive reported to Pacifica Police that smoke and fire was seen nearby. The caller suspected fireworks to be the cause, but the subjects denied setting off any fireworks. 9:52p.m: A hit-and-run incident was reported in Manor Plaza. The driver allegedly hit a parked car and nearly hit a pedestrian.

May 22 - 1:56a.m: A driver was cited for driving under the influence on the 1500 block of Francisco Boulevard. 10:40a.m: A car was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Peralta Road. 5:17p.m: Hiding out. A suspicious man was reported to Pacifica Police by a resident of the 800 block of Reina Del Mar Avenue for "hiding" in a bush and staring at a nearby residence. When confronted by the reporting party, the man said he was "waiting for someone."

May 23 - 10:59p.m: Graffiti was spotted at San Pedro Trail. Benches and trash cans along the trail had been painted with white paint - graffitti on one bench read "sit on me" and trash cans were marked with "Ptown Phens."

May 24 - 11:36a.m: Bullying. Two juveniles were playing lacrosse and got into a "push and shove," according to the reporting party. One of the boys then struck the other with a lacrosse stick, breaking his arm. Parents said that a history of bullying had been occurring between the two boys.
