Police Blotter: Cliff Hanger, Fighting Words and Doing Donuts

A run-down of recent crime and police activity in Pacifica.

Sept. 29 - 5:39p.m. Doing Donuts. A vehicle was reportedly "doing donuts" in the parking lot of Church of Jesus on the 700 block of Sharp Park Road. 6p.m. An unknown suspect burglarized a residence on the 900 block of Oddstad Boulevard. The suspect gained entry to the home from an unsecured window and removed jewelry and personal electronics from the residence. 7:38p.m. A caller reported hearing a crash to Pacifica Police. The reporting party alleged that a black jeep was seen with a missing front wheel going southbound on Gateway Drive. The driver of that vehicle was later found to have been driving under the influence on the 200 block of Gateway Drive.

Sept. 30 - 11:32p.m. An altercation between a male and female on the 1400 block of Terra Nova Boulevard was reported to police. The caller reported "yelling and pounding" coming from a neighbor's back patio. 3:11p.m. A 15-year-old female was reportedly caught shoplifting alcohol from the Safeway at Linda Mar Center. 10:58a.m. Cliff Hanger. A passerby reported seeing a stray dog on top of a rock at Sharp Park Beach. Another caller later reported that the dog was safely taken down from the "cliff."

Oct. 1 - 2:02a.m. A resident of the 1400 block of Terra Nova Boulevard reported hearing a female scream believed to have come from across the street. 11:45a.m. Patrons of the Sea Breeze Motel at Rockaway Beach reported that an iPhone 4 belonging to one of the two reporting parties was stolen during their stay. The housekeeping staff was suspected in the incident. 7:55p.m. A vehicle was reportedly vandalized on the 1200 block of Rainer Avenue. An unknown subject gained access to the vehicle, cut wires in the vehicle and broke a seatbelt.

Oct. 2 - 12:12a.m. A driver of a black jeep was reported to police by staff at the McDonald's at Linda Mar Center for allegedly appearing beligerent and possibly under the influence. The staff reported this suspicion after the driver pulled into the fast good chain's drive thru. 2:23p.m. Fighting Words. A resident of the 800 block of Linda Mar Boulevard reported that a neighbor threatened to kill him after the victim called him a name. 11:09p.m. A resident of the 600 block of Edgemar reported two to three vehicles parked on the block with subjects loitering and making noise. The caller alleged that this was an ongoing problem.

Oct. 3 - 10a.m. A resident of the 200 block of Juanita Avenue reported that a blue "Haro" 21-speed mountain bike was stolen from his truck bed overnight. 3:27p.m. A resident of the 500 block of Monterey Road reported that an ex-boyfriend broke the windshield of her vehicle.

Oct. 4 - 5:09p.m. An onlooker reported seeing an unknown male, described as a 20-something, climb into a window of a Lands End apartment on the 300 block of Esplanade Avenue. 7:36p.m. A passerby reported a suspicious circumstance across from Walgreens on the 500 block of Palmetto Avenue. A man, appearing to be in his 50s, was allegedly screaming and appeared to need an ambulance.
